Although I'm not a musician, it's always been a dream of mine to own a music venue. But instead of having a space for people to come to, why not just bring music to the people? This was the thinking behind The Pink Piano. Once a month, The Pink Piano is wheeled out onto the town square in Crown Point, IN and a crew of talented musicians volunteer to entertain the crowd. Through online and a little print advertising, The Pink Piano will draw a crowd. It's been fun watching a little community of artist and musicians gather around this fun experiment.
In January of 2014 my wife and I decided to open a store in downtown Crown Point, IN. Everything in our tiny little shop is handmade by us. We create all kinds of fun things like artwork, leather goods, apparel, and accessories. We'll even take on custom things like bowties for cookie jars or scarves for pigs. (yes, we actually have made these things.) We decided to call our little business after8 because that's the time our kids go to bed and we start making things.
I've done a lot of interviews over the course of my career. It's an art form in itself. It's a mix of preparation, personality and the ability to listen and focus. Sitting in a dark room surrounded by lights and cameras can be nerve racking enough, but then to have to spill your guts to a complete stranger...no thanks. I feel honored by the trust and vulnerability the people in these interviews have given me. Sitting in the chair in the dark has often been some of the hardest and most rewarding parts of my job.

I co-founded the INsight Design Conference with Joseph Gonzalez in 2008. It's an annual event that strives to inspire, educate, and transform local creative professionals through networking and a series of short speeches. I'm always amazed by the talented individuals who come out to be part of this creative community.
Behold The Wonder was a fabulously arranged Christmas concert. The purpose for the show was to offer the surrounding community a Christmas celebration. Being the Creative Director for this project was exciting, challenging and multifaceted. I touched on everything from stage design, lighting, video production and much more. This project took twelve months of planning and organizing. All said and done, it was a huge success. We sold out every show in approximately three weeks.
I had the privilege of writing and directing a couple of commercials in conjunction with Roeda Media for Fair Oaks Farms. Their marketing team was looking to showcase a wide variety of educational entertainment they have to offer to families. Not only did my team and I deliver the results they wanted, they saw a significant increase in traffic to their website during the duration of the ad.

Illiana Christian High School
Illiana has been working on a building campaign and reached out for some video production. The main platform for the videos were via the school's blog and social media. The goal of the first video was re-focus. The team felt the campaign had lost some vision along the way and wanted to remind participants what it was really all about: the kids. The video had a great response and the campaign met its goal. The second video was an introduction to phase two of the building project. The goal for this phase is to raise funds for a multipurpose space. The space would mainly be used for the performing arts, chapel, and secondary practice space for sport teams.

Wake Up, Sleeper
Wake Up, Sleeper was a video transition for an Easter service at Faith Church. Based on Ephesians 5:14, I wanted to create a modern take on the excitement of Jesus rising from the dead.
Wake Up, Sleeper
Inspired by a mosaic I saw at ArtPrize, I decided to base all the creative elements for Easter off of broken pottery. The idea was that we as humans are all broken in our sin. Easter represents that moment when God took our brokenness and reclaimed it into something beautiful. We even had people participate in creating a mosaic by writing their name on a ripped scrap of paper and placing it into a bigger work of art.

Jonah was a four week sermon series for Faith Church. One of my jobs as Creative Director was not only graphics and promotion, but also to capture a story that parallels parts of Jonah's. I sat down with Jacob Smith and captured his story about traveling to Tanzania, Africa to preach the gospel. After the interview, Jacob agreed to be the subject of a group photography project I had created on the book as well.

God's Littlest Angels
I had the privilege of directing a promotional video for God's Littlest Angels. GLA is a Haitian orphanage located in the mountains above Petion-Ville. The goal of the video was to tell the story of GLA and give a taste of this beautiful country. This video was used in the states to share the vision of the ministry, recruit more volunteers, and gain more resources. Our three man team covered a lot of ground in only four days. The project was a huge success and GLA was thrilled with the final result. This is one project I left a little piece of my heart behind on. It's so hard not to fall in love with those beautiful babies. The coffee was awesome too.

MYFAITH was a new database system that was being introduced to the Faith Church congregation. Think of it as a new, online church directory. My job was to produce a fun campaign for the new database, introducing and explaining it, and encouraging the people to take one easy step, log into the system. This campaign consisted of print, web, apparel, and video production.

S. Joel Norman
S. Joel Norman is not only an incredibly gifted musician but a dear friend. I've been privileged to team up with him on a number of projects. Whether it's show posters, apparel, music videos or album covers we always have a good time creating together.
Katie is talented Christian singer / song writer that I have had the pleasure of working with for a number of years. Her latest album titled "A Different Kind of King" inspired a vision of searching for a King in the most desperate of places, only to return His crown and ultimately grant Him the glory He truly deserves.
Painting has always been therapeutic for me. Spray paint, graffiti pens and calligraphy ink are my weapons of choice. Although a hobby, I have had a few opportunities to show my work at few local galleries.
